Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Find the answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) below:
FAQ 1: What makes Motivont college admissions counseling different?
Motivont specializes in providing college admissions services for high school seniors (G12). In our experience, most parents look for counselors right before senior year. But at that point, most college counselors only offer essay/application support, suggestions for extracurriculars and teacher recommendations, SAT/ACT tutoring, and interview prep. We do all of that AND more.
FAQ 2: Are your services fully remote? Are there in-person meetings?
Like many other college admissions counseling companies, our services are fully remote for most students. This is the easiest way for us to give students around the world access to the very best resources from mentors from top universities. However, Dr. Kao and our other expert counselors can schedule in-person meetings if necessary.
FAQ 3: I’ve never done research before and I don’t have a topic. Can I still do research?
Yes! Research is simply a skill that you need to learn. The best thing is you don’t need to be a genius to do it. Your expert mentors will help you identify a strong topic that aligns with your academic focus and teach you everything you need to know to complete the paper.
FAQ 4: Are there any guarantees that I will get into an Ivy League or Top 20 College?
Unfortunately, there are no guarantees that any college counselor can offer a student due to the complex nature of college admissions. However, our services will improve your application and your chances of getting into your dream college.
FAQ 5: How do I get started?
First, sign up for a free consultation. During the consultation we will determine which package is right for you. After that, we begin the process of working together towards your dream college.
